Over a Single Cube

A slower reveal, perfect for an unhurried evening

There’s no rush with Johnny Doyle. Pour a measure, settle into your favorite chair, and let the whiskey open in the glass.

If you want to take the journey further, pour another and turn the pages of The Johnny Doyle Story – the companion book that brings the whiskey’s world to life. Flavor and history, enjoyed side-by-side.

The Doyle old Fashioned

Johnny Doyle Small Batch, Demerara syrup, walnut bitters – stirred over ice and served in crystal with an orange twist.

A rich, contemplative serve that brings out the depth and warmth of Johnny Doyle.
Ingredients
  • 2 oz Johnny Doyle Irish Whiskey
  • ¼ oz demerara syrup (2:1)
  • 2 dashes Angostura bitters
  • 1 dash orange bitters
  • Garnish: Orange peel
Method
  1. Add whiskey, syrup, and bitters to a mixing glass with ice.
  2. Stir until thoroughly chilled and silky.
  3. Strain into a heavy crystal rocks glass over one large clear ice cube.
  4. Express an orange peel over the surface, brush it around the rim, and place it in the drink.
CharacterSmooth, full, and quietly complex. The Old Fashioned lets the whiskey speak for itself — caramel, spice, and slow-burning warmth.

The Mountain Highball

Johnny Doyle Small Batch, soda water, dash of ginger syrup, lemon peel – a refreshing serve that carries the whiskey’s spice.

Clean, crisp, and refreshing — a serve that echoes the cool air of the Sperrin Mountains.
Ingredients
  • 2 oz Johnny Doyle Irish Whiskey
  • 4–5 oz chilled soda water (or premium sparkling water)
  • Dash of ginger syrup (optional)
  • Garnish: Lemon twist
Method
  1. Fill a tall highball glass with large clear ice cubes.
  2. Add the whiskey.
  3. Slowly top with soda water to preserve carbonation.
  4. Add a dash of ginger syrup if you want extra lift.
  5. Give one gentle stir, then garnish with a fine lemon twist.
CharacterEffortless and elegant. The highball brightens the whiskey’s fruit notes and draws out its ginger spice and oak.

  2. Stir until deeply chilled and perfectly balanced.
